Art We Love: Lee May Foster-Wilson

Lee May Faster-Wilson a.k.a. Bonbi Forest is an artist, designer/maker of textile prints, jewelry, homewares and paper goods based on The Roseland, in Cornwall, England. She studied Fine Art in Brighton and stayed there for a few years after she graduated, and returned to her hometown to look after her parents' menagerie of animals after her brother had an accident. Having to work from their house, she realized that with the internet she could work from anywhere and actually, she really wanted to be back in her motherland near to her family.
Nature is a big influence on her work, leaf shapes, animals, and florals, interesting shapes, colors, shadows, landscapes, and beach finds of shells and sea glass, that she draws upon in her designs. In her work, she likes to explore patterns, rhythm, and stories, the connection of people to nature and our relationships with each other. Her work can be found adorning cards, prints, hand screen printed scarves and accessories as well as a range of jewelry with images hand applied to lockets, rendered in enamel or cut and printed onto wood and perspex, and have been featured in numerous publications, online and in print.

Lee May Faster-Wilson alias Bonbi Forest es una artista, diseñadora/fabricante de estampados textiles, joyas, artículos para el hogar y artículos de papel basada en El Roseland, en Cornwall, Inglaterra. Estudió Bellas Artes en Brighton y se quedó allí durante unos años después de graduarse, y regresó a su ciudad natal para cuidar la colección de animales de sus padres después de que su hermano tuvo un accidente. Al tener que trabajar desde su casa, se dio cuenta de que con Internet podía trabajar desde cualquier lugar y, de hecho, realmente quería regresar a su tierra natal, y estar cerca de su familia.
