Art We Love: Dinara Mirtalipova

Dinara Mirtalipova a.k.a. MirDinara is a self-taught artist, illustrator, and designer from Tashkent, Uzbekistan living and working in Sagamore Hills, Ohio, USA. She studied Computer Science at the Tashkent State University of Economics, however, she discovered her passion for illustration and patterns while working among designers at American Greetings, where she found her true calling. There, driven by her curiosity and passion to work professionally as an illustrator she, year by year, worked on her skills building upon them as well as started working on her portfolio and applying to different positions, working her way up to being an in-house designer. She left her creative role at American Greetings in 2014 to pursue her ever-growing freelance career and to start a new chapter as a free spirit independent designer.
She works in a wide range of mediums,
materials, and tools, like carving lino blocks, gouache, acrylics, wood,
canvas, stones, and many others, and her work is influenced by folklore,
fairytales, traditional folk songs, and textiles, she blends her experience
and upbringing into her illustrations.

Dinara Mirtalipova alias MirDinara es una
artista, ilustradora y diseñadora autodidacta de Tashkent, Uzbekistán que vive
y trabaja en Sagamore Hills, Ohio, EE.UU. Estudió Ciencias de la Computación en
la Universidad Estatal de Economía de Tashkent, sin embargo, descubrió su
pasión por la ilustración y los estampados mientras trabajaba entre diseñadores
en American Greetings, donde encontró su verdadera vocación. Impulsada por su
curiosidad y su pasión por trabajar profesionalmente como ilustradora, ella, año
tras año, trabajó en sus habilidades y comenzó a trabajar en su portafolios y
postularse para diferentes puestos, trabajando hasta convertirse en diseñadora
interna. Dejó su rol creativo en American Greetings en 2014 para seguir su
creciente carrera independiente y comenzar un nuevo capítulo como diseñadora
independiente de espíritu libre.
Trabaja en una amplia gama de materiales,
medios y herramientas, como bloques de tallado, témpera, acrílicos, madera,
lienzos, piedras y muchos otros, y su obra está influenciada por el folclore,
los cuentos de hadas, las canciones populares tradicionales y los textiles.
Ella combina sus experiencias y su infancia en sus ilustraciones.
