Leonardo Frigo is an Italian artist and violinist from Asiago in northern Italy living and working in London. He has a degree in Art Restoration from UIA (Univeristà Internazionale dell'Arte) in Venice, Italy, and has been actively painting string instruments for nearly a decade.

He saw a violin for the first time at age 6 and since then this instrument has been present in his life. Not only did he learn how to play it, but at the age of eight, he decided to take this instrument to another level by painting his first violin.

He creates his very unique form of art from his belief that his instruments can be not only listened while played or simply visually appreciated in their original form but read like storybooks. He instills the instruments with a new perspective combining symbols, intricate patterns, and strategically inserted text among the complex drawings, that represent biographies of characters, inspiring stories, and even cities.

He is internationally known by his “Seven Deadly Sins” and “Four Seasons" series, which have been successfully exhibited across Italy, South Korea, France, and England. He's been immersed during the last three years in his ongoing project "Dante Alighieri-Inferno" in which he brings together music, poetry, design, and craftsmanship in a single piece of art. He is painting 34 musical instruments, 33 violins, and 1 cello, with illustrations inspired by the first canticle of the Divine Comedy: Inferno.

Leonardo Frigo es un artista italiano y violinista de Asiago en el norte de Italia que vive y trabaja en Londres. Es licenciado en Restauración de Arte por la UIA (Univeristà Internazionale dell'Arte) en Venecia, Italia, y ha pintado activamente instrumentos de cuerda durante casi una década.

Vio un violín por primera vez a los 6 años y desde entonces este instrumento ha estado presente en su vida. No solo aprendió a tocarlo, sino que a la edad de ocho años, decidió llevar este instrumento a otro nivel pintando su primer violín.

El crea su forma única de arte a partir de su creencia de que sus instrumentos no solo pueden escucharse mientras se tocan o simplemente se aprecian visualmente en su forma original, sino que se leen como libros de cuentos. El imprime los instrumentos con una nueva perspectiva al combinar símbolos, patrones intrincados y texto insertado estratégicamente entre sus complejos dibujos, que representan biografías de personajes, historias inspiradoras e incluso ciudades.

Es conocido internacionalmente por sus series "Siete Pecados Capitales" y "Cuatro Estaciones", que se han exhibido con éxito en Italia, Corea del Sur, Francia e Inglaterra. Ha estado inmerso en los últimos tres años en su proyecto en curso "Dante Alighieri-Inferno" en el que reúne música, poesía, diseño y artesanía en una sola obra de arte. Está pintando 34 instrumentos musicales, 33 violines y 1 violonchelo, con ilustraciones inspiradas en el primer cántico de la Divina Comedia: Infierno.
