Art We Love: Teagan White

Teagan White is a freelance illustrator and designer from Chicago, living and working in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has a BFA in Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and her work comprises intricate drawings of flora and fauna, playful watercolors of animal characters, illustrated typography and everything in between.
The primary inspiration for her work are nature and the subtle relationship between organisms, the weather, the vegetation and wildlife of the Midwest, along with vintage botanical and anatomical illustrations, folk art and the limited color palette and stylized, flat shapes of midcentury illustrations. She has worked for clients like Target, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Disney Hyperion, Nike, and the Washington Post among others, with projects ranging from advertising and editorial to children’s books, greeting cards, and textiles.

Teagan White es una ilustradora y diseñadora independiente de Chicago, que vivi y trabaja en St. Paul, Minnesota. Ella tiene un BFA en Ilustración de la Universidad de Minneapolis de Arte y Diseño, y su trabajo comprende intrincados dibujos de flora y fauna, acuarelas juguetonas de caracteres animales, tipografía ilustrada y todo un poco.
La inspiración principal de su trabajo son la naturaleza y la sutil relación entre los organismos, el clima, la vegetación y la vida silvestre del Medio Oeste, junto con ilustraciones botánicas y anatómicas de época, el arte popular y la limitada paleta de colores y formas estilizadas y planas de las ilustraciones de mediados de siglo.
