Art We Love: Emily Jeffords

Emily Jeffords is an abstract impressionist painter working in oil on canvas, acrylic and watercolor on paper, and cyanotype mixed media, living and working in Greenville, South Carolina with her husband, their two daughers and their pet bunny, Max.
She grew up traveling and
lived in various locations, experiencing a variety of cultures and
lifestyles which increased her appreciation for art, for the landscapes that
unite us, and our innate human connection to land and nature.
After receiving her BA
degree in Two Dimensional Fine Art in 2008 she went on to teach art to both
children and adults for two years. Along with teaching, she also created a
painting-a-day for many months which helped her develop her painting style and
abilities as well as establish herself as a professional working artist in an organic way. After that they moved to West Texas where she began
writing her blog, Beautiful Hello which focuses on art, design, and
supporting the vibrant creative community. In 2010 they moved to Charleston,
SC and then to Greenville, SC where she currently works. In 2012, she
co-founded Trouvé Magazine with her friend Amanda Marko but stepped
away to focus solely on her art in early 2013.
Her work has been exhibited in
several galleries including Art & Light Gallery (Greenville, SC), Peyton
Williams Gallery (Charleston, SC), Gallery Twelve 21 (Orlando, FL), NOD Studio,
(Chicago), and Eliott Fouts Gallery (Sacramento, CA).
We love her color palette,
brushstrokes and the light in her paintings as well as the peace her work

Emily Jeffords es una pintora impresionista abstracta que trabaja con óleo en tela, acrílico y acuarela en papel, y medios mezclados, que vive y trabaja en Greenville, Carolina del Sur con su marido, sus dos hijas y su conejito mascota Max.
Ella creció viajando y vivió en varios lugares, experimentando una variedad de culturas y estilos de vida que aumentaron su aprecio por el arte, por los paisajes que nos unen, y nuestra conexión humana innata con la tierra y la naturaleza.
Después de recibir su licenciatura en arte bidimensional en 2008, ella continuó a enseñar arte a niños y adultos durante dos años. Junto con la enseñanza, también creó una pintura-al-día durante muchos meses lo que le ayudó a desarrollar su estilo de pintura y habilidades, así como establecerse como una artista profesional de una manera muy orgánica. Después se trasladaron a West Texas, donde comenzó a escribir su blog, Beautiful Hello que se centra en arte, diseño y en apoyar a la vibrante comunidad creativa. En 2010 se mudaron a Charleston, Carolina del Sur y luego a Greenville, SC, donde actualmente trabaja. En 2012, co-fundó la Revista Trouvé con su amiga Amanda Marko, pero se alejó para concentrarse exclusivamente en su arte a principios de 2013.
Su trabajo ha sido exhibido en varias galerías incluyendo Galería de Arte y Luz (Greenville, SC), Galería de Peyton Williams (Charleston, SC), Galería Doce 21 (Orlando, FL), NOD Studio, (Chicago) y Galería de Eliott Fouts (Sacramento, CA).
