Art We Love: Helen Dardik

Helen Dardik is an artist, illustrator and designer currently living and working in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was born by the Black Sea, lived in Siberia for a time and then moved to Israel, where she studied art and design. In the early nineties she relocated to Canada, where she got a graphic design degree.
She describes her style as vibrant, folksy and playful. She works mainly in vector in Adobe Illustrator using the magic of imagination combined with watercolor, oil, gouache, embroidery and vinyl. Her inspiration comes from her childhood, her three girls, nature, vintage books, design books and magazines, creative blogs and midcentury design.

Ella describe su estilo como vibrante, "folksy" (folclórico) y juguetón. Trabaja principalmente en vector en Adobe Illustrator usando la magia de la imaginación combinada con acuarela, óleo, témpera, bordado y vinilo. Su inspiración viene de su niñez, de sus tres hijas, de la naturaleza, de libros "vintage", de libros y revistas de diseño, de blogs creativos y del diseño de mediados de siglo.
