1- Meet Me Under the Mistletoe by Jenny Bayliss: Elinor Noel—Nory for short—is quite content running her secondhand bookshop in London. Forever torn between her working-class upbringing and her classmates’ extravagant lifestyles at the posh private school she attended on scholarship, Nory has finally figured out how to keep both at equal distance. 5- The Door-to-Door Bookstore by Carsten Henn: Small-town German bookseller Carl Kollhoff delivers his books to special customers in the evening hours after closing time, walking through the picturesque alleys of the city. These people are almost like friends to him, and he is their most important connection to the world. When Kollhoff unexpectedly loses his job, it takes the power of books and a nine-year-old girl to make them all find the courage to rebuild their bonds with each other.

6- Storm in a Teacup: The Physics of Everyday Life by Helen Czerski: Storm in a Teacup is Helen Czerski’s lively, entertaining, and richly informed introduction to the world of physics. 7- The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James: Upstate New York, 1982. Viv Delaney wants to move to New York City, and to help pay for it she takes a job as the night clerk at the Sun Down Motel in Fell, New York. But something isnʼt right at the motel, something haunting and scary. Upstate New York, 2017. Carly Kirk has never been able to let go of the story of her aunt Viv, who mysteriously disappeared from the Sun Down before she was born. She decides to move to Fell and visit the motel, where she quickly learns that nothing has changed since 1982. And she soon finds herself ensnared in the same mysteries that claimed her aunt.

8- Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett: Cambridge professor Emily Wilde is good at many things: She is the foremost expert on the study of faeries. She is a genius scholar and a meticulous researcher who is writing the world’s first encyclopaedia of faerie lore. But Emily Wilde is not good at people. She could never make small talk at a party—or even get invited to one. And she prefers the company of her books, her dog, Shadow, and the Fair Folk to other people. 9- The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern: Zachary Ezra Rawlins is a graduate student in Vermont when he discovers a mysterious book hidden in the stacks. As he turns the pages, entranced by tales of lovelorn prisoners, key collectors, and nameless acolytes, he reads something strange: a story from his own childhood. 10- Us Against You by Fredrik Backman: A small community tucked deep in the forest, Beartown is home to tough, hardworking people who don’t expect life to be easy or fair. No matter how difficult times get, they’ve always been able to take pride in their local ice hockey team. So it’s a cruel blow when they hear that Beartown ice hockey might soon be disbanded. What makes it worse is the obvious satisfaction that all the former Beartown players, who now play for a rival team in the neighboring town of Hed, take in that fact. As the tension mounts between the two adversaries, a newcomer arrives who gives Beartown hockey a surprising new coach and a chance at a comeback. Soon a team starts to take shape around Amat, the fastest player you’ll ever see; Benji, the intense lone wolf; always dutiful and eager-to-please Bobo; and Vidar, a born-to-be-bad troublemaker. But bringing this team together proves to be a challenge as old bonds are broken, new ones are formed, and the town’s enmity with Hed grows more and more acute. As the big game approaches, the not-so-innocent pranks and incidents between the communities pile up and their mutual contempt intensifies. By the time the last goal is scored, a resident of Beartown will be dead, and the people of both towns will be forced to wonder if, after everything, the game they love can ever return to something as simple and innocent as a field of ice, two nets, and two teams. La física de lo cotidiano de Helen Czerki: Nuestro hogar, la Tierra, es caótico, mutable y está repleto de objetos mundanos que tocamos y modificamos todos los días sin apenas reparar en ello. Pero son precisamente esos escenarios cotidianos en los que debemos fijarnos si deseamos saber qué hace que el engranaje del universo funcione. Pero a Emily no se le da bien la gente. Así que cuando llega al miserable pueblo de Hrafnsvik, no tiene intención de hacerse amiga de sus huraños habitantes. Tampoco le interesa pasar tiempo con otro recién llegado: su elegante e insoportablemente apuesto rival académico, Wendell Bambleby. Entonces, alguien llega a Beartown para salvar el equipo. Pronto, el equipo empieza a tomar forma alrededor de Amat, el jugador más rápido que se haya visto; Benji, el intenso lobo solitario; el solícito y complaciente Bobo; y Vidar, el problemático nacido para ser un mal muchacho. Sin embargo, poco antes del partido decisivo, una terrible tragedia conmocionará a ambos pueblos y obligará a sus habitantes a preguntarse si, después de todo, el deporte que tanto aman volverá algún día a ser sencillo e inocente como antes: una simple pista de hielo, dos porterías y dos equipos.
