Pleats have been around for a long time, since our school days actually, when we had to wear pleated skirts as our school uniform, and now this trend has been taken to a whole new level and the pleat has been given a major makeover, the micro pleats.
The micro pleats are less like folds and more like crimped material and they look great on skirts and dresses. They add flounce, sophistication, femininity and a modern shape to any silhouette, while also remaining unstructured, the pieces drape flatteringly on any body and are interesting to look at.
