Hi, happy Earth Day! Today is the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day, a day that aims to plant the seeds of environmental activism in all of us. On this day we renew our commitment to protect our Earth year-round.
Earth Day theme this year is "Invest in Our Planet": this is the time to change the business climate, the political climate, and how we take action on climate. We need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably) to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods, our happiness, and our survival. We're all in this together, businesses, governments, and citizens alike should be accounted for and accountable.*
This year in honour of Earth Day we want to invite you to invest your time, energy, money, and creativity into growing a pollinators garden. Pollinators play an important role not only in helping plants make their fruit and seeds, which helps many plant species reproduce but also in supporting our own food system. Over the last few decades, many pollinator populations, including bees, have seen a dramatic decline due to pesticide use and loss of food and nesting habitat.
So we want to help you (and ourselves) be part of the solution. For that, we've made these illustrated botanical postcards of 12 flowers that attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. We've also made seeds envelopes (which you can also gift to others with seeds from your own garden to spread the love) to collect seeds for your garden.

¡Hola, feliz Día de la Tierra! Hoy es el 52 aniversario del Día de la Tierra, un día que tiene como objetivo plantar las semillas del activismo ambiental en todos/as nosotros/as. En este día renovamos nuestro compromiso de proteger nuestra Tierra durante todo el año.
El tema del Día de la Tierra de este año es "Invertir en nuestro planeta": este es el momento de cambiar el clima empresarial, el clima político y cómo tomamos medidas sobre el clima. Necesitamos actuar (audazmente), innovar (ampliamente) e implementar (equitativamente) para preservar y proteger nuestra salud, nuestras familias, nuestros medios de subsistencia, nuestra felicidad y nuestra supervivencia. Estamos todos/as juntos/as en esto, las empresas, los gobiernos y los/as ciudadanos/as por igual debemos ser representados/as y responsables.*
Este año, en honor al Día de la Tierra, queremos invitarte a invertir tu tiempo, energía, dinero y creatividad en cultivar un jardín de polinizadores. Los polinizadores juegan un papel importante no solo ayudando a las plantas a producir sus frutos y semillas, lo que ayuda a que muchas especies de plantas se reproduzcan, sino también apoyando nuestro propio sistema alimentario. En las últimas décadas, muchas poblaciones de polinizadores, incluidas las abejas, han experimentado una disminución drástica debido al uso de pesticidas y la pérdida de alimento y hábitat de anidación.
Por eso, queremos ayudarte (y a nosotras mismas) a ser parte de la solución. Para ello, hemos realizado estas postales botánicas ilustradas de 12 flores que atraen a las abejas, a las mariposas y a los colibríes. También hemos hecho sobres de semillas (que también puedes regalar a otros/as con semillas de tu propio jardín para difundir el amor) para recolectar semillas para tu jardín.
