Hi, this week we celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Week 2017, therefore, we'll be sharing 3 posts related to creativity throughout the week. This first post is all about online classes. If you are a native Spanish speaker and don't speak English, or if you do speak English but prefer to learn in your own language this post is for you. Learning new skills, acquiring new knowledge and honing our expertise is a great way to keep the creative juices flowing and also a good way to advance our careers. Online classes are ideal for visual learners who want to stay creative and motivated or want to acquire a new hobby or skill or hone their skills in their field of expertise, who also lack the funds and the time to take a face-to-face class.

You may be aware of the many learning platforms we have at our disposal on the Internet, but there's a chance you didn't know that there is a great number of this platforms that teach in Spanish. Some of this online learning platforms offer classes only taught by top experts and others offer classes taught by anyone who has useful knowledge to share, and many sites and universities offer free and inexpensive high-quality courses that you can take at your own pace.

These are only 13 of the many online learning platforms available in Spanish and they offer courses that cover nearly every subject and in various formats. Taking an online class in one of this sites is sure to help you discover a new passion, introduce you to new communities, advance your career and keep you motivated, check them out:




1. Hello!Creatividad

More than an online learning platform it is a community that strongly believes that we are all creative, they consider themselves as an e-motivation & e-imagination platform that makes us dream, feel, believe we can, that motivates people to do new things, some that they never thought they would be able to do.

They offer paid courses divided into four categories: Thinking, which includes courses on entrepreneurship, branding and identity, and blogging; Making, which includes courses on design, illustration, calligraphy, and photographic editing; Looking, which includes courses on photography, composition, and video; and Feeling, which includes courses on coaching, emotional intelligence, creative writing, and creative thinking.

2. Domestika

It is the largest creative community in Spanish. Since 2002 at Domestika thousands of professionals with different creative profiles interact with their community and share their works and knowledge. It offers paid courses in the areas of graphic design, art direction, fine arts, crafts, advertising, branding and identity, photography and video.


3. Coursera

It is a platform where anyone, anywhere can learn and earn credentials from the world’s top universities and education providers, it was founded in 2012 by two Stanford Computer Science professors who wanted to share their knowledge and skills with the world. It offers free and paid courses in diverse subjects, in more than 18 languages including Spanish (and with subtitles available in several languages), that include recorded video lectures, auto-graded and peer-reviewed assignments, and community discussion forums and when you complete a course, you receive a shareable electronic Course Certificate. You can download their app to take your courses wherever you go.

4. Eduk

This platform is very similar to CreativeLive (a platform in English), Eduk's courses are transmitted live and free to all. Simply access the home page and click on the live view header, and select the course of your choice, or click the button at the bottom of the page that shows the courses being broadcast at that time. If the course is not online at the moment, you can reserve your place and you will be notified when they are ready to start the transmission. Once transmitted the course enters the edition stage until its launch date, that is the day the course is available for purchase. After purchasing the course you can access it at any time and from anywhere.




5. UniMOOC

It defines itself as the most important platform for innovation training in Spanish, it was born in the Institute of International Economics of the University of Alicante thanks to the support of prestigious institutions such as Google, Banco Santander or the School of Industrial Organization. Its courses have a clear orientation towards training for entrepreneurs in the digital economy. It offers free and paid courses that work on the Google Course-Builder platform. All resources to learn are open, materials are always at your disposal, you can do the courses at your own pace, regardless of the order, and without deadlines.

6. Tutellus

It defines itself as the largest collaborative learning platform in the Hispanic world, where you can learn, teach, or earn money by promoting other users' courses. It offers more than 60,000 videos, of all areas and levels, that you can take at your own pace, and offers the possibility of an official university degree.

Like the English language platform Skillshare, Tutellus offers a one-time subscription with which you can take all the courses you want, without worrying about the price of each course. Download their application so you can take your learning with you.

8. Miríada X

It is a platform that believes in free and quality training, offering online courses taught by professionals from 1,345 universities and Ibero-American institutions. This initiative is promoted by Telefónica Digital Education - a company specializing in providing comprehensive online learning solutions for education and training - and Universia - the largest network of Spanish and Portuguese-speaking universities, and offers courses in a wide range of topics, designed to enable you to follow them at your own pace, in which you can learn from scratch about the subjects you are interested in, deepen them if you already had previous knowledge and help you develop skills or enhance them.

Miríada X offers free courses to anyone interested in them, you do not have to be a student or graduate of any university, their courses have no limit of students, nor do they require the download of any kind of software, you just have to register and start when the course starts.



9. Escuela Creativa Jackie Rueda

Jackie Rueda is a journalist specialized in audiovisual, tv writer and photographer. Her passion is photography and in her online workshops, she uses all the tools she has as an audiovisual communicator to create attractive and easy-to-understand content. Es una plataforma donde cualquier persona, en cualquier lugar puede aprender y ganar credenciales de las mejores universidades del mundo y proveedores de educación, fue fundada en 2012 por dos profesores de Stanford Ciencias de la Computación que querían compartir sus conocimientos y habilidades con el mundo. Ofrece cursos gratuitos y de pago en diversas materias, en más de 18 idiomas, incluyendo español (y con subtítulos disponibles en varios idiomas), que incluyen conferencias de vídeo grabadas, auto-calificaciones y evaluaciones por tus compañeros de clases y foros de discusión comunitaria y cuando completas un curso, recibes un certificado de curso electrónico compartible. Puedes descargar su aplicación para tomar sus cursos donde quiera que vayas.




4. Eduk

Esta plataforma es muy similar a la plataforma en inglés CreativeLive, los cursos de Eduk se transmiten en vivo y gratuitamente para todos. Basta acceder a la página de inicio y hacer clic en el encabezado de ver en vivo, y seleccionar el curso de tu elección, o haz clic en el botón que hay al final de la página que muestra los cursos que están siendo difundidos en ese momento. Si el curso no está online en ese momento, puedes reservar tu lugar y se te notificará cuando estén listos para iniciar la transmisión. Una vez transmitido el curso en directo entra en edición hasta la fecha de lanzamiento del curso, ese es el día en que el curso está disponible para comprar. Después de comprado el curso puedes acceder a él en cualquier momento y desde cualquier lugar.

Es una plataforma que ofrece cursos de diseño pagados, creados con mucho cuidado a partir de más de 20 años de experiencia en diseño gráfico, sus cursos en línea los puedes hacer cuando los necesites porque no caducan y tienen asistencia mensual. 

13. Rie.com.do

Es un mercado dominicano en línea que ofrece clases sobre "lettering" (ilustración de letras), fotografía para redes sociales, origami, encuadernación, manualidades y "scrapbooking".
